REBUILD MADELIA
In the early morning hours of February 3, 2016 many of the buildings in Madelia’s downtown business district were destroyed or damaged by a fire that consumed most of a city block. The fire broke out at about 2:30 a.m. and continued for more than nine hours. By noon firefighters had showered hundreds of thousands of gallons of water to extinguish the flames, but at least five of the buildings on the north side of Main Street were destroyed.

If you wish to donate, there are many different ways to do it!
Volunteer at Madelia Area Chamber of Commerce to answer phones, greet visitors, accept donations, help package and mail Madelia Strong T-Shirts.
Our Mission Is to provide financial relief to displaced employers and employees in order for them to feed their families and pay their bills.
Short term goals will be to provide logistical support to the city of Madelia and the
affected property owners to begin the rebuilding process in a timely manner.
Long term goals will be to provide financial assistance to ongoing rebuilding
projects.
